About me

 As an Adjunct Lecturer and a Senior Researcher, I'm passionate about merging econometrics with environmental science. This page offers insights into my journey, research, and perspectives. Explore to learn more about my expertise and thoughts.

 

 

I am Dr. Argyro Zisiadou and I serve as Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences, School of Technology, University of Thessaly, as well as a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Operations Research in the Department of Economics at the University of Thessaly.

I hold a BSc in Economic Science with a specialization in Finance and Banking from the University of Thessaly (Greece), an MSc in Corporate and Financial Management from Lund University (Sweden), and a PhD in Market Reactions due to Environmental Hazards and Unexpected Events from the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly

My commitment lies in advancing knowledge at the intersection of economics, environmental science, environmental hazards and disasters and their impact on society. Through research, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration, I strive to deepen understanding of environmental hazards, unexpected events, and their socio-economic impacts in an era defined by climate change.

I am dedicated to rigorous, transparent research, meaningful education, and the translation of complex scientific insights into knowledge that informs policy, supports resilience, and fosters sustainable decision-making. Above all, I aim to inspire critical thinking, curiosity, and responsibility toward the environment and the communities affected by its transformation.
